The bf and I first went to Masego on a bigdeal.sg voucher, and I like the location (it’s near his place) and spaciousness of it, so we signed on a package, which consists of massages and scrubs.
Now I’ve reached the end of the package, it’s time to pen down my thoughts about it.
One thing I like about Masego is the really high ceiling – there is no sense of claustrophobia here, which is quite apt as the African safari is wide and endless.
The waiting area, which is normally empty when I’m there – no awkwardness.
Another part of the waiting area.
Pre-spa tea. This one was a little too hot when served.
There are two shower rooms available with a rain shower. There is always one available when I need to wash off my scrub, so I guess they do plan well for this. The downside is that you have to walk all the way from the treatment bed to the washroom, and it can be a little cold.
Personal locker.
The massages were carried out in tents like these, and these tents have either one or two beds, but also easily adaptable to four, which is a great idea if you need the capacity. Don’t worry, these cloth covers are thick enough to protect my modesty 🙂
If I may recommend my favourite massage therapist – she’s Arnie. Do look out for her if you’re there. She gives a really good massage – not as painful/rough as my last one by a local/Malaysian lady – and I was lucky enough to enjoy 2 massages by Arnie. My knots were suitably relieved by her massage strokes – oh how I miss it. She seems to be able to read my mind too. On both occasions, she chose the scrub that was what I wanted that day – coffee and ginger. How nice 🙂
Post-spa dessert. They always have nice desserts like white fungus dessert soup or red bean soup.
I quite like this place. It feels out of this world when you are there, and they have a really good massage therapist, along with nice pre- and post-spa teas and desserts.
Apart from the separate bathroom and the odd rough massage therapist, there’s nothing to dislike about Masego. It’s just a bit far for me to travel to and fro from my place.
Overall it has been a nice experience and I’d recommend it if you live in and around Jurong.
